Where your court lets self-represented filers file electronically, we e-file your completed, court-ready documents for you. Many courts — including Virginia's family courts — require self-represented parties to file by mail or in person; there, we prepare your ready-to-file packet with an exact, court-specific filing checklist. We confirm how your court works before you pay.

We arrange for a sheriff or licensed process server to serve the other party and return proof of service for filing. Flat $99 covers coordination and standard service in most counties; if your county's official fee is unusually high, we'll tell you before charging anything extra.

We request certified copies of your filed documents from the court clerk, then mail them to you. Flat $35 covers our handling, the court's standard certification fee, and shipping. A few courts release family-case copies only to the parties themselves — if yours does, we prepare the exact request packet for you to sign and mail, or refund you in full. Unusually large orders (long decrees, multiple copy sets) are quoted before any extra charge.

Per notarial act, by our Virginia-commissioned electronic notary — the maximum fee Virginia law allows (Va. Code § 47.1-19). Pay securely, then immediately choose an open date and time from the notary's live calendar. If we can't get you a slot in time, we'll refund you in full.
